Magna Grecia is a small intimate boutique hotel with an Acropolis
view in a prime central location of the Plaka district. The
neo-classical building, now housing the Magna Grecia Hotel,
was originally designed by the German Architect Ernest Schiller
in 1898 and renovations reflect the architectural philosophy
of that era with high ceilings and wooden floors and original
paintings. The total renovation combines all amenities and comforts
that the modern sophisticated traveller has come to expect while
maintaining its authentic style and character. Warm hospitality

"Great
Hotel!"
The Magna Grecia Hotel was simply wonderful. We stayed
for 8 nights in January. The hotel staff was very friendly
and helpful. We needed a triple room so we had to be on
the back side of the hotel without the view of the Acropolis,
but the room was very nice with extremely comfortable
beds! We made good use of the top floor breakfast room
with balcony. This room has a lovely view of the Acropolis.
We sat out there practically every night enjoying a glass
of wine and the spectacular view. The
hotel is in the best location in Athens - right between
Syntagma Square and Monastiraki Square - with good access
to the Metro, shopping and great restaurants. The hotel
recommended a wonderful restaurant also - Psara's -
not to be missed! Some of the reviews mention the chiming
of the bells of the cathedral across the street. This
was not a problem for us. |
