"Helpfull staff and clean rooms"
+ The staff were very welcoming. We were offered complimentary drinks on arrival while the manager showed us where we were on the map and how to get to all the places of interest. At our request, she made personal recommendations for restaurants and booked them for us. A delicious breakfast (including hot and cold choices) was laid out every morning until 11am and really set us up for the day. Standards of cleanliness were very high and the decor modern and interesting.
- Rooms were furnished in a minimalist style, which meant the only mirror was in the bathroom and there was very little in the way of hotel information to read. Two rooms we booked also had some trouble with water backing up through the overflow in the floor when emptying the bath. This was sorted out once we had brought it to the attention of the staff. |

"Art Hotel understands the meaning of customer service"
On arrival the staff eally go out of their way to make you feel welcome, offering you a drink and sit you down with a map to help to get your bearings and plan your time in Athens.
The hotel is modern, clean and I found my room to be very quiet even though it faced the street. All rooms have free internet connections, and theres a free laptop to use in the lobby if you dont have your own. Breakfast is a good spread, and includes hot and cold food, and the subway (Omonia) is about 500m away. From the airport you can easily take the train in to the city (6€) and then connect to Omonia at Syntagma Square.
The only downside of this hotel which others have mentioned also is that the area around the hotel is a bit seedy and some rather downclass hookers work the corner a block away - but they keep to themselves and I certainly didnt feel unsafe. The other negative point is that theres not really any restaurants nearby (but there is a good patisserie if you want some snack food) Overall I really recommend this hotel though and would certainly return if back in Athens!! |

"Marvellous staff attention"
The location was great with most attractions within walking distance. The rooms are all different and very modern and clean and although there were no coffee/tea facilities within the room the Hotel did provide coffee and tea 24 hours a day in the small restaurant and there was free internet access provided by the hotel
The most pleasant aspect is the friendly greeting by the staff who provided a free drink on arrival and pointed out the various sites and locations for restauants. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and the rates for the room were very competitive at c. £71 per night per twin room including breakfast.
The only downside was the noise at night as the windows were not fully double glazed and the cars do not stop at night and continue to blow their horns which might be too much for the light sleeper.
Overall it was a most enjoyable break and we can fully recommend this hotel as excellent value for money.. |

"The Best Hotel to Stay in Athens!"
We stayed here for 4 nights on our trip to Greece and ended up coming back again! We have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and for the price were expecting a mediocre experience....boy were we wrong!!!!! I have never experienced such attentive service. Anything we wanted, needed, or didn't even know we needed was taken care of. The staff was incredible, helping with absolutely anything from laundry to food to tours....whatever it was, it was taken care of! The breakfast is excellent and the rooms and nice and clean. The value is absolutely unbeatable and if you are the kind of traveler that likes to feel as if you are coming home at the end of the day, this place is for you. They felt like family and in the middle of a noisy, exciting, energetiC city it was the perfect place to feel comfortable and relaxed. 10, 10, 10!!! |

"The BEST people at the GREATEST hotel, a must stay"
Honestly, this was the greatest place ever to stay, we actually extended our stop in Athens so that we could stay there longer. The staff is so incredible, they would do anything to make sure you are perfectly happy and comfortable, the nicest people i have ever met. This place defines amazing service. I walked in to check in, and was offered a welcome drink, they let me choose the room i wanted to stay in because there was availability, and a great breakfast spread. To show just how amazing they are, not only did they book our hotel in the next town we were headed for and got us a great deal, one night we were tired and wanted to eat somewhere close so they ordered us food in, and replated everything so that we wouldnt have to step outside. If you like feeling like you're coming home at the end of a long day touring the city, stay here. Great rooms, great location in the heart of the city, and the nicest people I have ever met. Please stay here, its the greatest! We LOVE Art Hotel Athens!

"Great
Serve & Breakfast"
+ Fantastic service from staff. Beautiful paintings & pieces of furniture. Very generous breakfast with cooked option.
- Tea & coffe making facilities in the room would have been nice. Generally, the hotel felt a bit 'tired',which would be solved with a lick of paint. |

"Great
Price and very attentive staff"
We stayed at this hotel for our last night in Athens (we stayed
at Fresh Hotel before going on a road trip in continental
Greece).
Rate was
very reasonable: 135 euros for a large room with a huge terrace
and a jacuzzi tub.
We were
given a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival and some
local candy. Also in the morning before going for a walk in
the city the front desk gave us free bottles of water without
being asked.
We
would definitely go back to Art Hotel. |

"Friendly
staff "
+ The
staff was extremely kind and helpful. We arrived after midnight
and the clerk offered us complimentary orange juice and water
upon arrival. When the clerk realized we had reserved a triple
room for three adults, he immediately offered an additional
room at no extra charge because he knew the room was small.
-
Based on common areas and dining area for this hotel, I would
have expected more decoration in the rooms. |

"Made
outstanding by the staff"
The hotel itself is nice, the location reasonable but the staff
were incredible. I really couldn't praise them highly enough;
from the free beer when we arrived through to letting me use
there personal computer to send a work email they were excellent.
They even let us check out at 1700 because we had a late flight.
The location is fine - a couple of times we stayed out past
the closing of the metro and walked back. It's only about a
mile and the area feels perfectly safe. I would recommend it
highly. The only slight dissapointment was that we ordered a
triple room and got a double with a squeaky bed stuck in the
corner. It is on a fairly busy road but the little balcony had
3 sets of windows to keep the noise out. Overall excellent. |

"The
staff were very helpful"
+ The
Staff were very helpful. The hotel is within easy walking distance
of the Metro & major attractions. We used it as a base and
travelled each day to different destinations.
- On arrival our room was very small, but we
were moved to a larger room which was fine. The streets around
the hotel are not very clean and very dark, although we walked
around at night with no problems |

"The
staff were 5 star!
+ The
staff were 5 star. Absolutely impeccable. We stayed twice and
we rated it both times. We were given a great room upgrade free
of charge both times. The inclusive breakfast was very nice
too and had a great range of cooked ffod, fruits and cakes etc.
We can honestly say that when we go back to Athens we will definately
re-book with the Art Hotel who are in our opinion 10 out of
10. Thanks to all the staff.
- Not a negative note but worth noting for young
families: Location we would say is definately that of a city
in that there are undesirables so this may not be a place for
children after dark. Day time is radically different and no
problem. However, on both stays we did not see any street violence.
Lots of cities have drunks and other undesirables, but lets
be honest, London and other places suffer this too which is
sad but true, we wouldn't want to miss out on experiences for
that reason. We thought that this place was safe as any other
city, and as with any other city always be alert to your immediate
environment. |

"Outstanding!!!"
We stayed at this hotel on the front and back ends of our trip
to Greece. I tell you the lovely ladies at the front desk are
exceptional. After spending two weeks in greece, most of it
in the islands, it was abundantly clear that genuine service
with a smile is almost non-existent. However, the Art Hotel
is definitely an exception. The rooms were very nice, clean
and the breakfast was terrific. i know others have said it's
not the greatest area, but it's really not that bad. I was there
with my wife and 4 yr old and never felt afraid. If
you can try and get one of the big rooms with the large balcony.
It's really nice. If I ever return to Athens, this is where
I will go. When you are a guest at a hotel you like to feel
like you are appreciated and to feel special. The staff at
the Art Hotel does this with a SMILE. |
