"Whole
Athens in a Precious Hotel"
A very beautiful concept for a city hotel!! Periscope is a luxury
small hotel that combines perfection, excellent service, charming
staff and the most recently technology services!
I
stayed in 402 suite which was very spacious, with all comforts,
impressive & luxury bathroom with HACCP floor, corres
toileteries and simple but practical furniture! very beautiful
pics of athens and impressive lighten pics of athens day &
by night!
laptop
available for business connection, dvd free rentals, plasma
tv, fully equipied mini bar and a sweety welcome of sunseeds
in different chocolate colors !!
The
breakfast was promissing, the staff extra nice & efficient!
Periscope is actually in the center of everything (kolonaki
area).
Don't miss it in your visit to athens.
i
will be back for sure! |

"Expensive
hotel, but great location"
+Location
- It's
not a 5* Hotel as indicated, but rather a 3*, or max 4* according
to Grec lower standards. Very expensive but the location is
perfectand rare, therefore I may come again. |

"Great
location, great service - a real find"
This is a very stylish little hotel in a great location. More
importantly, it is really well thought-out and the customer
service is excellent - you really do feel that the staff are
trying as hard as they can to make your stay as pleasant as
possible.
Despite the central location the hotel is extremely quiet and
has blinds that keep the light out. The beds are huge and really
comfortable. All of these things add up to a good night's sleep.
The bathrooms, too, are big and well-equipped with a powerful
shower. There are nice touches such as bathroom scales and robes.
The breakfast was really good and included some items (crepes,
mozarella & tomato skewers, a good range of breads), that
made it much nicer than the average hotel breakfast.
Only thing to watch out for is the mini-bar and room service
tariff, which are quite expensive.
We have stayed in hotels in Athens before and this is the first
one I can honestly say was really enjoyable, and that we would
definitely go back to. |

"Great
service! Great hotel!"
When I checked into this hotel, I immediately freaked out while
I was at the front desk when I realized that the last hotel
that I stayed in (on one of the Greek Islands) did not give
me back my passport and I had a flight the next morning. When
the manager, Giannis Liakopoulos, saw that I was stressed, he
calmed me down and called my last hotel to sort out the mess.
He even followed up with me later to make sure that everything
was ok. This was above and beyond what I would have expected,
and his calming presence was greatly appreciated. He was a big
help.
As for the hotel itself, the room was very modern and chic.
There are some really nice touches to the rooms (flat screen
tvs, chocolate covered sunflower seeds waiting for you in your
room). Breakfast was great. You can make your own crepes (even
though they are all cold), and there is a good selection of
sweet and savory.
I would not hesitate to stay here again! |

"Hits
the Target"
I just stayed at the Periscope and was very pleased. The room
I had, a standard, is small but perfectly suitable. They are
however, much more plush than most at this price level. As can
be read; great beds, DVD players, nice bedside lighting, great
bathroom, power blinds, good minibar, etc.
The breakfast is top notch, and the bar has an extensive selection.
However, the BEST thing about Periscope is the staff. They were
so helpful and friendly. Not only did they answer questions
and help out with necessities, but actually seemed to like the
guests. The (very cute) morning breakfast attendant came over
at one point to explain some old coins that my friend had purchased.
The front desk attendants gave excellent recommendations on
restaurants and sights. Everything was done with a smile.
The only very slight problem for a light sleeper like me is
that since there is no carpeting in the halls, the sound does
carry quite a bit. The first night it woke me up when they started
setting up for breakfast and I believe a door was opening and
closing. The sound carried up a floor and down to my room. I
asked if they could move me but that wasn't possible. However,
the front desk person said she would ask to be more cautious
about the door. It seemed to work. If you are a light sleeper,
possibly ask to be on a higher floor. |
